Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy is centred on supporting people with activities that give or help towards their daily independence.

An Occupational therapist is trained to assess a person’s needs and help create goals to maintain or gain back independence.  Adjustments to environment, accessories and equipment can all be employed to help a person reach that goal.

Occupational therapists can also carry out sensory assessments to determine whether a sensory impairment is having an additional impact on your well being and interpretation of your surroundings.
